Last updated: June 29, 2026
Transparency notice on AI-assisted corporate finance advisory services. This notice explains how DealOn uses artificial intelligence in its corporate finance advisory services, the limitations of AI-generated outputs, and the safeguards in place to protect users. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Platform Terms of Use.
Introduction
DEALON LTD (“DealOn”, “we”, “us”) is committed to transparency about how it uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) in its corporate finance advisory services. This notice explains what AI technology DealOn uses, how it is applied, what its limitations are, and what safeguards are in place.
This notice is provided in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority’s expectations regarding transparency and explainability in AI-assisted financial services.
Key message: All AI-generated outputs are indicative only, are reviewed by a human adviser, and must not be relied upon without independent professional advice.
What AI Technology DealOn Uses
Technology Provider
DealOn uses large language model technology provided by Anthropic (the “AI Provider”) through its Claude API. This technology is integrated into DealOn’s proprietary platform to assist with specific corporate finance advisory tasks.
AI-Assisted Features
The platform uses AI to assist with the following tasks:
| Feature | What the AI Does | Human Oversight |
|---|---|---|
| Indicative Valuation | Analyses financial data, market comparables, and industry benchmarks to generate a range of indicative values for the business | Every valuation is reviewed and may be adjusted by a DealOn adviser before being shared with the client |
| IM-Lite Generation | Drafts a structured information memorandum summary from data provided by the seller | Every IM-Lite is reviewed, edited, and approved by a DealOn adviser |
| Buyer Matching | Analyses buyer profiles, preferences, acquisition criteria, and deal characteristics to generate compatibility scores | Match results are reviewed by a DealOn adviser who applies professional judgement |
| Document Drafting | Generates draft heads of terms, share purchase agreements, and disclosure letters from deal data | All drafts carry a watermark and require independent legal review |
| DD Checklists | Generates due diligence checklists tailored to the target business | Checklists are reviewed by a DealOn adviser and are advisory only |
Limitations of AI Outputs
AI-generated outputs are tools to assist human decision-making. They are not a substitute for professional judgement, independent advice, or due diligence.
Users of the DealOn platform should be aware of the following limitations:
- Accuracy: AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. The AI processes the data provided to it and its outputs are only as good as the inputs. Incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading input data will produce unreliable outputs.
- Completeness: AI outputs do not cover every relevant factor. They may not account for qualitative factors, market sentiment, undisclosed liabilities, or other matters that a human adviser or professional would consider.
- Currency: AI models are trained on data up to a certain date and may not reflect the very latest market conditions, regulatory changes, or industry developments.
- Judgement: AI does not exercise professional judgement. It identifies patterns and generates text based on its training data. It does not “understand” the commercial, legal, or personal context of a transaction in the way a human adviser does.
- Legal status: No AI-generated output constitutes legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, or a formal valuation. All AI outputs are indicative and require independent verification by qualified professionals.
- Hallucination: Large language models may occasionally generate content that appears plausible but is factually incorrect. DealOn’s human review process is designed to catch such errors, but users should not treat AI outputs as verified fact.
Human Oversight & Safeguards
DealOn has implemented the following safeguards to manage the risks associated with AI-generated outputs:
- Human-in-the-loop: Every AI-generated output is reviewed by a qualified DealOn adviser before being shared with a client or counterparty. The adviser may edit, supplement, or override the AI’s output.
- Watermarking: All AI-generated transaction documents carry a watermark: “AI-assisted draft — reviewed by [Adviser]. This document requires independent legal review before execution.”
- Quality scoring: DealOn maintains an internal quality assurance framework for AI outputs, including accuracy scoring, completeness checks, and reviewer feedback.
- Prompt engineering: DealOn’s AI prompts are versioned, tested, and maintained to minimise errors and improve output quality over time.
- Data protection: AI processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with DealOn’s Data Protection Impact Assessment and Privacy Policy. DealOn has entered into a Data Processing Agreement with its AI Provider.
- No sole reliance: DealOn does not make binding decisions about clients or transactions based solely on AI outputs. AI is used as an assistive tool, with human oversight at every decision point.
Your Rights
As a user of DealOn’s platform, you have the right to:
- Request a human explanation of how any AI-generated output was produced;
- Request that an AI output be reviewed again or overridden by a human adviser;
- Decline to proceed on the basis of an AI-generated output and request a purely human-prepared alternative (where reasonably practicable);
- Request information about what personal data was processed by our AI systems; and
- Exercise your rights under UK GDPR in relation to any AI processing of your personal data (see our Privacy Policy).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact DealOn at info@dealon.ae or speak to your DealOn adviser.
